I love and hate physics.
Recently, I am reading Did God Roll the Dice: A History of Quantum Physics, which is a very good book. What impressed me most in this book is not the theory of quantum science, but that in this book, great scientists such as Newton and Einstein are no longer formidable gods in textbooks, but living people with interesting stories.

After reading this book, I have been thinking about the story between myself and physics. Of course, physics here refers to the physics class at school.

As long as I can remember, my first contact with physics should be learning to be a "flashlight" from my cousin. I went to my cousin's house to play when I was a child. He can make a flashlight. In fact, it is to connect three 1 dry batteries in series with paper, then roll them up, then connect the wires and light a small light bulb removed from the abandoned old flashlight.

In junior high school, I was lucky enough to be admitted to the experimental middle school in our county, which was the best middle school in the county at that time. That's what we did at that time. We had to volunteer before the junior high school entrance examination. The middle schools in our county can be divided into three grades. The first echelon is the experimental middle school, and there are affiliated middle schools, second only to the experimental middle school. The second echelon is a middle school in our neighboring town. Although it is run by villages and towns, the teaching quality is not bad. The third echelon is the township middle school in our hometown that I mentioned before, and you can sign up. Before our students, the school was not allowed to fill in the volunteers of the experimental middle school. No one has filled it out before anyway. The specific reason is unknown, probably because the teacher thinks we can't get into the first echelon school. It would be a pity if you can't get into the third echelon school, so all the students volunteered to fill in the second echelon school. In our class, schools that are allowed to fill in the first echelon are allowed. At that time, some students applied for the experimental middle school, and I was one of them. After the results of the quiz came out, four people were admitted, including me of course. If I remember correctly, it should be 3 1 1, and the admission line of experimental middle school is 299, which exceeds 12. I've been thinking that if I hadn't let go of the restrictions or refused to apply for the first echelon school, I might have gone to the middle school in the neighboring town, so my high school and the whole student career would be completely different. It has to be said that what kind of road we take and how far we can go have a lot to do with the environment and luck, and sometimes even a decisive relationship, and of course we can't do without personal efforts.

Anyway, I was lucky enough to enter the experimental middle school and start studying. When the school was more than ten kilometers away from home, I started boarding and went home once a week. I was 12 years old that year. The experimental middle school has gathered the best students in the county, and I am not outstanding among them. When I was in grade one, there were about 500 students in my grade. The best time should be that I got 120, and the worst time was more than 200. This is probably the position. Now I feel that I didn't know how to study at all in the first grade. For example, I don't know what to recite some liberal arts things. Some subjects are not good either, such as English. At that time, English in primary schools was taught by substitute teachers, and I never met a formal English teacher. Although the teacher teaches hard, her own knowledge reserve is not systematic. For example, when she taught us to recite words, she still pronounced lowercase, and some things were not taught correctly. It took a long time to correct these mistakes. In addition, every time I change an environment, it takes me some time to adapt and explore, and then I can know the survival rules of the new environment and learn how to survive in the new environment. This time may be longer than the average person.

I didn't start studying physics until the second day of junior high school. Because of my previous understanding of physics, I paid special attention to physics and wanted to learn it well. I feel that many students around me don't pay enough attention to physics, and sometimes the advanced thinking consciousness is really important. The first physics exam will be held soon. I got 84 points at that time. It is not clear whether the score of physics single subject is the first in the class, but it is definitely the top three. For me, the overall score is not outstanding, and the physics score is outstanding, which also gives me great confidence. Sometimes we do a good job because of interest, but sometimes we are interested in doing a good job, and more often it is both. Physics has brought me confidence, and I have gradually adapted to the new environment and learned to study, so since the second day of junior high school, my grades have made great progress. Since I started studying physics, physics has always been my dominant subject and always gives me extra points. The self-confidence brought by physics also makes me more enthusiastic to study and promotes my overall grades. In the first year of grade three, the overall average score should be in the top 30 of the grade. Of course, I also passed the first level at a time, which is the premise of studying in Hengshui in the future.

Before the middle school entrance examination, a middle school in Hengshui invited the top 30 students in grade three of our school to visit, in order to attract students to study there. Let me briefly talk about the enrollment system of Hengshui at that time. Hengshui education is famous all over the country, and the most famous one is Hengshui, which people often mention. Hengshui is an old-fashioned prestigious school, and the best students in Hengshui are of course the first choice. No.1 Middle School was founded in 1996, and the level of students recruited in Hengshui area is incomparable with that in Hengzhong. So at that time, a middle school learned to recruit students around. And our county is one of the counties that enroll students in No.1 Middle School. Our county only enrolls students in experimental middle schools (later the enrollment scope changed), so if I failed to enroll students in experimental middle schools and went to the second echelon school, there would be no such opportunity. At that time, the policy given by a middle school was this: you can pay a deposit first, and then you can be admitted to a middle school as long as your scores in the senior high school entrance examination are not particularly low, which is equivalent to early admission. Because there is not much money, everyone basically pays a deposit, which is an extra choice. After the results of the senior high school entrance examination came out, I got 573 points, which was not good. I don't know the exact number because it is outside 1500 in Handan. I couldn't get into a school like Handan No.1 Middle School, so I had only two choices at that time. One is our county no.1 middle school, and the conditions given are relatively generous; The other is a middle school, which was admitted in advance. Without much hesitation, I chose to go to a middle school. Although I know that the next three years will be hard, sometimes I have no choice but to move forward.

When I was a freshman, my grades were ok and I was assigned to the experimental class. In the second semester of Senior Two, the school suddenly organized a physics selection exam. Later, I learned that the school wanted to select a group of students with good physics scores, give them training and then participate in competitions or enroll students independently by prestigious schools (mainly Qingbei). Yes, I passed the selection exam in a daze and began to study in the competition. Next semester's competition study is mainly concentrated once a week. The school concentrated everyone on the east campus (the school has two campuses, the east campus and the west campus, when I was in the west campus), and then asked the physics teacher to give us lessons and study. At that time, the content of the study was not out of the scope of the college entrance examination, but faster than the normal progress of the next semester, and the content would be deeper. In addition to intensive reading, I usually have cultural classes and exams together as usual, just like everyone else. I studied like this for about a semester.

In a blink of an eye, I arrived at the second year of high school. When I was a sophomore, the school set up the Olympic Games Department, which pulled out all our students who participated in the math, physics and biology competition and selected a group of senior one students. In the Olympic Sports Department, we have more than 130 classes every month to learn the knowledge of competitions, and the rest of the time we study culture classes, and we still take monthly exams like other students at the same level, which will affect our grades. But some students do as well as before, so it's up to you, but the results of the competition subjects that everyone focuses on are definitely better than before, after all, so much extra time has been invested. During the learning competition, students in each subject will have a separate classroom. There are about ten students in each subject, and everyone will study in the same classroom. The main forms of learning are self-study and free discussion. Although there are teachers, they mainly do their own problems and study by themselves. The atmosphere is very casual, and everyone can discuss it casually. So I studied for a year, and then everyone went to Hebei Normal University to take the physics competition exam. As a result, ten people won the second prize in the province. Only the first prize can participate in future independent enrollment or lower the scores of famous schools through competitions. In other words, we all lost in the game itself. I think the reasons for the failure are as follows:

After we lost the game, the school dissolved the Olympic Games Department. When the third year of high school was divided into classes, we were divided into classes again like other students, studying normally and preparing for the college entrance examination. The college entrance examination is not particularly ideal, but it is not too bad, not too bad, not too bad. After the results came out, I also thought about whether the college entrance examination results would be better if I didn't take part in the competition. But on second thought, if you get the ranking in the competition, will you feel that the original decision was right? Probably we always want to take a straight road of life, from the starting point to the end point, but the actual road is always tortuous, so that we can see more scenery, and every serious road will not be wasted.

In college, there is physics in the course of study. College physics requires higher mathematics, and a large number of formulas are often derived. I'm not interested in pure mathematical formula derivation. There are also supporting experiments in the course. We also went to the university to do experiments during the high school competition, which was very interesting and fun. However, I have completely lost that interest in college curriculum experiments. This question was also asked by Bao Yan during the interview. Think about it carefully, because I did experiments in college in high school, and I was completely free to explore. I am really interested and have no purpose. The purpose of college experiment is to get points. There are operation steps in the experiment process, which must be followed, and the phenomenon will do, otherwise there will be no points. The experimental time is also very tight, so I have no time to explore according to my own ideas and do experiments to verify. Sometimes things are too purposeful, but it is easy to make things lose fun.

The university also participated in two physics competitions, one organized by the school and the other in Beijing, both of which won the first prize on the basis of high school. It's really the foundation of high school. I remember the competition in Beijing, and I was deeply impressed by the only complete topic I learned in high school. The most direct advantage of the first prize is that you can get extra points, and you can get extra points in physics class. Physics is also the only subject with full marks for graduate students in our school. The other is comprehensive quantification, which is an important basis for research and development. Without this bonus, the insurance research may be affected, and of course it may still be guaranteed. In short, every road you have taken seriously will not be wasted, and you can use it in the future.

At this point, the high probability will not have any intersection with physics in the future. Along the way, there are gains and losses, but compared with physical knowledge or the result itself, I think the life experience gained from it is more valuable and illuminates my way forward.

Finally, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the teachers who have guided me and my classmates and friends who have helped me. Thank you all the way.
