But Aska Yang said, that's because you haven't heard my songs, otherwise you would have learned the correct way to open this book.
Because the lyrics of onion have told us that if you are willing to peel off the Tao Te Ching layer by layer, you will find that you will be surprised. This is my most repressed secret …
Ok, let's try peeling!

Tao Te Ching (998 1 chapter) consists of the first 37 chapters and the last 44 chapters.
It would be really silly if we just read chapter by chapter like ordinary books.
First, it has its own profound philosophy;
Second, unlike Sun Tzu's Art of War, it does not follow the strict logical order of Taoist spells.
So we have to dissect layer by layer to understand.
If we look at the Tao Te Ching from the side, we will find that the Tao Te Ching is actually composed of five layers:
They are the outermost military theories;
Political theory of the sub-outer layer;
Middle life theory;
Internal epistemology;
And the deepest five theories of cosmology.
The correct way to open the Tao Te Ching is to interpret it layer by layer.

We look at the Tao Te Ching layer by layer from the inside out, first of all, the world view.
In Lao Tzu's eyes, the universe or the world was not created by the so-called God or God, but by a man named Tao, and Tao was supported by virtue only after creation.
Mr. Dao gave off a breath of chaos, then split heaven and earth, and gradually evolved into everything in the world.
This Tao likes to act according to its own principles. If the world can't act according to the standards of Tao, it needs to be bound by benevolence and righteousness. If benevolence and righteousness cannot be bound, it needs to be bound by etiquette or law.
And this virtue is to support the world according to the requirements of Tao.
However, Germany will not occupy the world, nor will it be complacent, let alone insist that the world is dominated by it and truly do nothing. According to moral standards, people and the world can live in harmony, the inner self is as pure as a baby, and the outer self can be integrated with the world.
To put it simply, the world was bred by the Tao Te Ching, and we all have to listen to it.

After the world exists, it operates according to the requirements of Tao.
The requirement of Tao is actually very simple, that is, "the movement against Tao", that is, things always move back and forth in the opposite direction. Therefore, if we want to know the world, we must first have the idea of unity of opposites.
But in the unity of opposites, Lao Tzu pays more attention to the weak side. He said that "the weak can use Tao", that is, although things have two sides, the weak is better than the strong.
Therefore, to understand the world, we must be able to "see small and bright, be soft and strong", that is, to find wisdom from small changes in things while maintaining our own weakness.
This requires us to constantly study and practice, so as to "learn more for the Tao and lose more."
Learning is to know the changing law of the unity of opposites and accumulate relevant knowledge of the unity of opposites. First of all, we can know the world without running around. Secondly, seemingly difficult or complicated things can start with simple things; We should also know that when something is about to be completed, it is also the most difficult time, and we must persist until the moment of qualitative change.
With regard to cultivation, we need to clearly see that the world is closely related to fortune, so we should keep a clear head, be able to persist in returning to the source and maintain our nature. There are three treasures that we should always hold: kindness, thrift and ignorance.
In short, people live to learn and practice, to become smart and powerful.

Knowing the world and mastering the basic cognitive methods can actually lead a good life.
First-class people are diligent in keeping the road, middle-class people are hard to persist, and lower-class people scoff. If you want to live well, you must be first-class people.
The so-called sage is to do things in full accordance with the requirements of the Tao and adhere to the "four miniatures": less desire, less words, less waste of time and less greed for credit.
As my vision, knowledge, mind and self-cultivation become stronger and stronger, I can also constantly expand my life from my personal, family, hometown, country to the world, constantly improve my realm and live a wonderful life.

Politically, for the ruling monarch, it is even more necessary to adhere to the requirements of Tao.
Because the first-class monarch runs the country according to the Tao, the people can live well, but they don't think it is the monarch's credit, on the contrary;
Second-rate monarchs run the country according to Confucianism. People think that they live well because the monarch is wise, so they respect him very much.
The third-rate monarch governs the people with harsh laws, and the people are forced to obey the law, so they are afraid of the monarch;
And the dirtiest monarch can't govern the country well, and the people look down on him.
Therefore, the monarch who keeps the Tao is bound to the country all his life, taking the people's ideas as his own responsibility, and does not change the rules casually when governing the country, so that the country can be governed in an orderly way and the people can live and work in peace and contentment.

War is what Lao Tzu opposes most, because it brings unnecessary casualties, is immoral and is an "ominous device"
Therefore, the rulers should bully the weak countries first, instead of relying on their own military strength to strengthen Ma Zhuang. If it can't fight, it won't fight Even if it hits, it will fight back in self-defense.
When it comes to being forced to fight, leaders should be able to fight with wisdom. First of all, the true combat power of their country should not be known to the enemy. At the same time, the generals in the war should not make public, but should work hard. They should understand that a proud army is bound to fail and a sad army is bound to win.
When the battle is really over and won, it is not worth being happy about. It should be treated like a funeral.
Because fighting is wrong, and winning is not good.

After the explanation of the Tao Te Ching, the following are the chapters of the five theories in the Tao Te Ching, which can be used as a reference when reading.

Finally, let's review the contents of this issue:
First of all, we found that the correct way to open the Tao Te Ching is to peel it off layer by layer.
The Tao Te Ching is actually five levels of content:
First, the world is made by Tao, and then cultivated by virtue;
Second, the world runs according to the standard of unity of opposites, and we need to do addition learning and subtraction exercises constantly;
Third, people should live in a way of inaction, so as to achieve "less desire, less words, less waste and less greed";
Fourth, as a first-class monarch, we must rule by doing nothing;
Fifth, the rulers who truly follow the Tao should be anti-war.
To sum up, the world view, epistemology and life view in Tao Te Ching actually correspond to our world view, values and outlook on life, while political theory and military theory are how people should use them as political leaders.
What Lao Tzu really wants to tell us is that to be a man, the three views must be correct.
