The new senior high school entrance examination in Liaoning Province plans to set up 13 compulsory subjects, including mathematics, Chinese and English, two minor subjects of physics and chemistry, four open-book examination subjects of history, morality and legal system, geography and biology, as well as sports and health, fine arts, music and labor education.

It is strictly forbidden to take the contents of high school courses, subject competition questions and off-campus training as examination contents to ensure the connection between teaching and examination. The notice proposed that we should actively promote the provincial unified proposition.

Provinces that do not have the conditions should study and put forward a work plan to accelerate the provincial unified proposition, clarify the timetable and road map, and realize the provincial unified proposition of the senior high school entrance examination by 2024.
