Now it is a national first-class key discipline (basic mathematics) and a national science talent training base. There are three undergraduate majors: mathematics and applied mathematics (the first batch of characteristic specialty construction sites of the Ministry of Education), information and computing science and statistics. The department adopts "base class" and other shunt training modes to teach students in accordance with their aptitude. Starting from the needs of employers, this paper explores a reform road of "send out, please come in" cooperation between famous schools and enterprises. For example, in cooperation with Huawei 3COM Company, Huawei 3COM Network College of Mathematics Department of Nanjing University was established to provide Huawei 3COM certification training for students. The cooperation with China People's Bank, Mobile Communications, Ping An Insurance and other companies has been very successful. Physics is one of the dominant majors in Nanjing University, and its main teaching feature is: 1. Implement the trinity teaching mode of classroom teaching, academic activities and scientific research to cultivate students' comprehensive quality. Organize students to participate in academic activities and scientific research in the early stage, do course papers and design experiments in the lower grades, open the laboratory, and let outstanding senior three students enter the research room to participate in research work. 2. Strengthen quality education. The school stipulates that every student must complete 14 credits of cultural quality education courses, including 4 credits for art courses, 8 credits for cultural quality courses in humanities and social sciences, and 2 credits for cultural quality elective courses. Biological Science: This major relies on the faculty and scientific research strength of the School of Life Sciences and the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Nanjing University.
