Iranian mathematician Mariam was born in Teheran, Iran. She is a female mathematician, specializing in geometry. Her research fields include teichüller theory, hyperbolic geometry, ergodic theory and symplectic geometry. He has been a professor of mathematics at Stanford University since September, 2008.

Mi Erzha Hani is one of the winners of Fields Prize in 20 14, and the first woman and the first Iranian to win this math prize. Mi Erzha Hani won the prize for his contribution to the study of surface symmetry.

In middle school, Mi Erzha Hani won the gold medals in the second international Olympic Mathematics Competition, which were 1994 and 1995 respectively. She 1995 was the first female student and Iranian student to get full marks in this competition.
