How did Sun Yat-sen University score in the National Mathematical Modeling Competition over the years?
2005

Our school has made great achievements in the National Mathematical Modeling Competition for College Students.

Li, the leading group of mathematical modeling competition, reported that the annual national mathematical modeling competition for college students was held on September 6, 2006. Our school selected 25 teams from more than 60 registered teams to participate in the national competition. With the joint efforts of the coach and the students, the team members worked hard day and night for three consecutive days, forgetting to eat and sleep, and achieved good results. Among them, two teams won the national first prize, namely Xiao Xiongjian, Lu Linxuan, Lan Yongyong (coach: Yuan Zhuojian), Jiang Yu, Huang Xiaoying and Hu Chunhui (coach: Bao Yun); Two teams won the national second prize: Chen, Xu, Wu Xiaoquan (coach: Liu Xiaoming), Qiu Ruoyi and Zhao Jieyuan (coach: Bao Yun). They will receive awards from the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education and the China Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, as well as bonuses from the Education Development Foundation of Sun Yat-sen University in Guangdong Province.

2004

The office of the Institute of Mathematics reported that the 2004 national mathematical modeling competition for college students had gone through a fierce curve.

One by one, it came to an end a few days ago. There are 724 universities and 688/kloc-0 teams participating in this competition.

The scale has increased by 27% compared with last year. There are 26 teams in our school, and 2 1 team won the prize. Among them, 1 team won the national championship.

The first prize in the district, 2 teams won the second prize in the National Division, 6 teams won the second prize in the Guangdong Division, and 12 teams won the second prize in the Guangdong Division.

Third prize.

2003

The report of the leading group of mathematical modeling competition is jointly organized by the State Education Commission and the Chinese Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics.

The annual national mathematical modeling competition for college students came to an end after three days of fierce competition. Guangdong Province

There are 234 teams (3 people in each team) from 20 universities in the competition area (undergraduate group), and there are more than 5,000 domestic teams.

Team entry. Our school selected 25 teams to participate in the competition, among which 6 teams won the first prize of the province, and one of these 6 teams won the championship.

The first prize in the country, they are Yang Yongtuan, Li, who are 200 1 grade in the computer department.

Li, associate professor. Four teams won the national second prize; Seven teams won the second prize of the province; Six teams won the third prize in the province. Get all

The number of teams that have won national awards and the number of teams that have won provincial awards are the highest in the past years. What is particularly worth mentioning is the North School of our school.

The district (including Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences before the merger) has never teamed up for the competition. This year, through mobilization, two teams were selected to participate in the whole competition.

In the national competition, one team won the third prize in the province, which is gratifying.

College students all over the country follow this example.

2005

The first National Mathematical Modeling Competition for Postgraduates ended at the end of last year, with 480 teams from 87 universities participating. As one of the sponsoring schools, our school organized 22 teams to participate in the competition. * * * won three first prizes, two second prizes and five third prizes, ranking third in the number of medals, making it one of the five universities with the largest number of first prizes.

On March 23rd, the school held an award ceremony for this purpose. Secretary Li Yanbao, Director Wang Jianhua, Director of the Leading Group of Postgraduate Mathematical Model Competition, Vice President of Graduate School, Director Dong Ling, Secretary Qiu Zhaofu of School of Mathematics, Vice President Dai Daoqing and Secretary General Xu Dongli of Alumni Association attended the ceremony, and awarded prizes ranging from1000-6,000 yuan to the winning players and coaches. At the meeting, Secretary Li Yanbao delivered a warm speech, congratulating the winners on their good achievements and thanking the coach for his hard work. I hope that more teachers and graduate students will pay attention to and participate in the mathematical modeling competition, a beneficial scientific research and innovation activity in the future.
