[Psychological Note 1]: Fate
"Subconscious is fate" is an interesting cognition. I think this argument should subvert the cognition of most people. We always think that our destiny is driven by external forces, so we often feel that "this is life". However, when I was studying psychology, I understood "fate". Our external destiny and our internal imagination, that is, our internal consciousness, are mirror images. It means that you can see a person's internal imagination through his external destiny, and you can also see his external destiny clearly through his internal imagination.

Inner imagination includes consciousness and subconscious. Sometimes, we can realize how clearly we have shaped our life, but to a great extent, it is the subconscious that has shaped our life. Moreover, perhaps for most people, the power of the subconscious is too strong, so it is difficult for us to realize how the subconscious imagination determines our own destiny.

In this regard, psychologist jung said:

The more you understand your inner imagination, the more you can see how a person's heart determines a person's external destiny. Similarly, if you want to change your external destiny, you need to understand and change your inner consciousness.

Here, the author gives an example. A friend has been caught in a triangle all the year round and has been struggling between an ugly wife and a beautiful lover. The most special thing is that this lover is not a mistress in the traditional sense, but the first love of this friend. At the beginning, they loved each other deeply, and the beauty wanted to marry a friend, but his friend never believed that the beauty was sincere. Later, this friend met his wife through blind date. He was very dissatisfied with her appearance, but surprisingly, they soon got married.

When his friends mentioned marrying his wife, he always repeated his feelings. This is fate, because he feels that marrying his wife is not his real idea, as if he was driven by something and made this decision under a strange coincidence.

In fact, everyone's decision has his own internal logic. To put it bluntly, he will pursue interests. When a person doesn't know what the interests behind his decision are, he will shirk this behavior as "life".

Then why did this friend of the author give up his beautiful first love and choose to marry an "ugly wife" that he completely despises? The truth behind it is that this friend was very happy when he fell in love with a beautiful woman for the first time, but he always felt inferior when he faced his first love. For him, living with the goddess will make him feel inferior, while living with an "ugly wife" will pass this inferiority to his wife, and he will not feel superior. Therefore, he chose to marry a wife, which can not only maintain his sense of superiority for a long time, but also continue to meet beautiful women for the first time and meet his various expectations for beautiful women. This is an extremely cunning choice.

Through the analysis of this case, we can clearly realize that it is easy for people to realize their own consciousness, but it is difficult to feel their subconscious. What we think is the choice made by fate is actually the result of the operation of the internal driving force of self.
