Nankai mathematics is either the first or the second. I think when Chen Shengshen established the World Mathematical Research Center in Nankai, it was at its climax. Someone may ask who Chen Shengshen is. I will tell him that Chen Shengshen is the world's top master of mathematics in the 20th century, and is praised by Yang Zhengning as another landmark figure after Euclid, Gauss, Riemann and Cartwright. He is a member of the American Academy of Sciences and the first director of the American Institute of Mathematics. After 2000, he returned to Nankai University to settle down and established the World Mathematical Research Center. His disciples are widely told at home and abroad. Wu Wenjun, Liao and Qiu Chengtong (all great figures in mathematics, Qiu Chengtong is the winner of both the Wolff Prize and the Fields Prize, and only three people in the world have done this) are all his disciples. Chen Shengshen alone holds up half the sky, not to mention Nankai University, which has made great contributions to mathematics.
