Some schools said that the "Kunming Primary School Students' Comprehensive Evaluation Archives Manual" will account for about 40% of the total score of the school's independent selection. In addition, the high school affiliated to Dayun University and other schools also require to provide copies of relevant pages of grades 4 and 5, next semester and grade 6 and comprehensive evaluation results when confirming. The person in charge of the school who asked for proof of grades said that the reason for looking at students' grades is mainly to look at students' learning situation in the main stage of primary school, which will be used as a reference for admission.

Yunnan Hengshui Experimental Middle School also requires students to bring copies of Chinese and math exercise books for grades 5 and 6 to the school to confirm the registration information. The person in charge of the school said that checking the exercise book mainly depends on the child's writing, which has a low influence coefficient on the final admission.

In addition, some schools require students to bring award certificates when they are in primary school. Some school teachers said that if children can achieve some achievements or have specialties in certain fields, they are more likely to be "added points" in the process of independent enrollment.
