How to Cultivate Junior Middle School Students' Mathematics Core Literacy
Since the new curriculum reform, our front-line teachers' educational ideas have been gradually updated, and the classroom has paid more attention to cultivating students' learning ability. In recent years, the core literacy of primary school mathematics has also been explored. What is the core literacy of primary school mathematics? How is it defined? In the process of research, we found that several elements are inextricably linked with our curriculum objectives. Therefore, we try to explore what are the key factors of mathematics core literacy? Where is its supporting point? What value does this kind of inquiry have for classroom teaching? If this kind of inquiry is useful, it will provide a correct direction for our future teaching.

First, a preliminary interpretation of core literacy

Mathematics Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education (version 20 1 1) clearly puts forward the core qualities of 10, namely, sense of number, sense of symbol, sense of space, sense of geometric intuition, sense of data analysis, ability of calculation, reasoning, model thinking, sense of application and sense of innovation, which are students' overall understanding and grasp of mathematics. From this perspective, the meaning of mathematics core literacy is very clear, and its extension is very extensive. In fact, we also pay attention to cultivating students' quality in our usual teaching, but we have not seriously summarized or thought about the relationship. In teaching and research activities, we often apply these qualities to evaluate whether a teacher's class is effective. Whether our curriculum objectives can be achieved is closely related to the cultivation of the core quality of mathematics.
