Qiu Chengtong University Students' Mathematics Competition, initiated by Professor Qiu Chengtong, is aimed at students from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, aiming at comprehensively testing their mathematics knowledge, literacy and ability, and promoting the reform of university mathematics education in China. This competition examines students' abilities in four aspects: analysis and differential equations, geometry and topology, algebra, combination and number theory, calculation, statistics and applied mathematics, and accordingly, China Award, Wei Liangzhou Award and Xu Award are established. Each student can take part in the competition in up to four subjects. According to the three best results, the individual all-around prize, namely the Qiu Chengtong Prize, will be selected. The title of the competition is led by Qiu Chengtong, a proposition of first-class mathematicians in Europe and America, and the difficulty is equivalent to the postgraduate qualification examination of famous foreign universities.
