Fields Prize is awarded at the International Mathematicians Congress of the International Mathematical Union. Awards are awarded every four years to young mathematicians who have made outstanding contributions, with a maximum of four winners each time. The champion must be under 40 years old before New Year's Day of that year. It was established at the request of Canadian mathematician john charles fields. Fields Prize is regarded as the Nobel Prize in mathematics.
