Founded in 1985, the school is an advanced unit of vocational and technical education in Shaanxi Province, a provincial key middle school and a municipal civilized campus.
West Railway Police School is located at No.0/2 Youyi East Road, Xi City, covering an area of 37 mu and a building area of 29,000 square meters. It is the only public security secondary specialized school in China, and was awarded the "A-level training school for the people's police" by the Ministry of Public Security. On September 3rd, 20001year, with the approval of Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, xi 'an Railway Police School and three other railway schools in Xi 'an established Xi 'an Railway Vocational and Technical College.
The school has railway police, public security management, economic and cultural security and other majors. And jointly organized a correspondence course for junior college students with the People's Public Security University of China and the Criminal Police College of China, the two highest public security institutions in China. By the end of 2002, * * * had enrolled 522 correspondence students in two junior colleges, 4,606 secondary school students in 15, 4,429 graduates in 14 and 5,490 on-the-job police officers in 78 15.
The school currently has 1 14 staff, among which the ratio of administrative staff to professional teachers is 1: 1. 1, and senior lecturers and lecturers account for more than 60% of professional teachers.
The school's teaching facilities mainly include: teaching building, training building, police gymnasium, library, reading room, multimedia classroom, voice microcomputer room and studio, as well as trace inspection, document inspection, criminal photography, forensic medicine, fire control and communication laboratory, on-site investigation, automobile driving simulation room, physical training room, vehicle driving range and underground shooting range.
Living and cultural facilities mainly include: student dormitory, chef dormitory, staff family building, single dormitory, student canteen, bathroom, barber shop, guest house, teacher activity room, student activity room, multi-functional activity room, auditorium and so on.
The school implements the policy of public security education serving socialist modernization and "strictly managing the police and the school", highlights the characteristics of "strict education, strict training, strict discipline and strict management", implements police management and takes the road of quality education, aiming at cultivating students into qualified talents with ideals, morality, culture and discipline.
Since the school was founded, Guo Yongping, who was awarded as a "second-class hero" and "super outstanding people's policeman" by the Ministry of Public Security, Liang Zhongyu and Wang Chun, who were awarded as "first-class heroes" by the Ministry of Railways Public Security Bureau, have emerged among the school graduates. Six people were awarded "Class II", 100 people were awarded "Class III" and more than 300 people were awarded awards.
