In order to standardize the management of nursing workers, improve nursing services and ensure medical safety, according to the spirit of Beijing Municipal Government's "stabilizing and expanding employment and implementing special vocational skills training plan for migrant workers", Beijing Municipal Health Bureau, Municipal People's Insurance Bureau and Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce jointly issued a document to provide one-time free vocational skills training and vocational skills appraisal for migrant workers who are full-time engaged in patient care in medical institutions in this city. Unemployed people in cities and towns and migrant workers in rural areas participate in the training of nursing staff in Beijing, which shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant policies and regulations of Beijing training. Nurses can only take up their posts after they have been trained, passed the examination and obtained corresponding certificates. At the same time, the document requires all medical institutions to use nurses who have undergone standardized training to engage in service work, and gradually allocate nurses according to the allocation standards. Training of nursing staff will be carried out in pilot districts and counties in the near future.
