Japanese test is divided into five grades according to the difficulty and level: N 1, N2, N3, N4 and N5. The lowest grade is N5 and the highest grade is N 1.

JLPT/ Japanese proficiency test is to test and identify the Japanese proficiency of non-Japanese learners at home and abroad.
