Wuhan Optics Valley Vocational College is a full-time college approved by Hubei Provincial People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. This school is a higher vocational college established in response to the Hubei Provincial People's Government's efforts to promote internet plus and serve the high-tech industrial cluster in Optics Valley. It is the only institution of higher learning in China named after the "Optical Valley".
The school is located in the hinterland of "China Optical Valley", on the banks of Tangxun Lake, the largest urban lake in China, and on the banks of Qianlong Island National Wetland Park. Located in Wuhan University Town, adjacent to Hubei Academy of Fine Arts, Hubei Institute of Economics, Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, 7 19 Research Institute and other educational and scientific research places. It has high-tech enterprises and cultural facilities such as Tencent Wuhan R&D Center, Shi Sheng Bai Jie (Baidu) and Tibetan Dragon Museum to provide students with unique technology.
The school consists of six secondary colleges, namely Internet Plus College, Intelligent Manufacturing College, Big Data Business School, Habitat Engineering College, Humanities Education College and Continuing Education College, with a total of 30 majors (directions), taking into account continuing education, vocational appraisal and industrial enterprise training. The major covers science, engineering, economics, management, education and art.
The major is employment-oriented, facing the market demand, constantly promoting the deep integration of schools and enterprises, and improving students' employment and entrepreneurial ability. 40% of professional teachers have senior professional titles or above, and 75% are "double-qualified" teachers.
