The oldest city site in China was discovered here, covering an area of about 200,000 square meters. As a city, Jinan has a history of more than 4000 years. There are many cultural relics in Jinan, including Shungeng Mountain, the site of Shun culture (22nd century BC), the Great Wall of Qi before Qin Changcheng (3rd century BC), the oldest stone pagoda in China-Simen Pagoda of Liubu in Sui Dynasty (7th century AD), and the painted Luohan in Lingyan Temple in Song Dynasty (AD1kloc-0/century), which is known as "the first sculpture in China".

Many famous people in the history of China were born in Jinan, such as Bian Que, the founder of traditional Chinese medicine, Zou Yan, the founder of Yin and Yang, Fang, the founder of the Tang Dynasty (6 18-907), Li Qingzhao, Xin Qiji, Zhang, Li Kaixian, Zhou Yongnian, the pioneer of China Public Library, and Wei Xiang. In addition, outstanding writers and scholars such as Li Bai, Du Fu, Su Shi and Ceng Gong have lived and traveled in Jinan successively, so they have the reputation of "many celebrities in Jinan". When Qin Shihuang established the county system, today's Jinan area belonged to Jibei County. Jinan County was established in the early Han Dynasty, hence the name Jinan. Jinan has been the capital of Shandong Province since Ming and Qing Dynasties. Jinan was founded in July, 1929.

Brief introduction of Baotu Spring:

Baotu Spring, known as the head of seventy-two springs in Jinan, is the symbol and symbol of the spring city of Jinan. Located in the center of Jinan, it was built as Baotu Spring Park after liberation. Baotu Spring, together with Qianfo Mountain and Daming Lake, are also called the three famous places of interest in Jinan.

Baotu Spring was called "Dragon" in ancient times. As early as more than 2,600 years ago, there was a record of "Lu Huangong Huilong" in the chronicle Spring and Autumn Annals. In the Northern Wei Dynasty, Li Daoyuan's Notes on Water Classics also wrote: "The long water flows out of the southwest of the old city of Licheng County, and the spring tide surges and the water surges like a wheel." When Ceng Gong, a poet in the Northern Song Dynasty, was in charge of Zhou Qishi, he built a "Luoyuan Hall" by the spring and wrote "Records of Two Chapters in qi zhou", which officially gave Luoshui the name of "Baotu Spring". "Tu Tu" is not only quaint, but also has both sound and meaning. First, "sudden eruption" is used to describe the "jumping" and endless ejection of spring water; At the same time, it is wonderful to use "Tu Tu" to imitate the sound of "beep" and "beep" when the spring gushes. "Sudden Flying" was called one of the eight scenic spots in Jinan in ancient times.

Baotu Spring contains three streams of water, which gushes day and night, reaching several feet when it is full. It is "boiling three holes, the snow waves are several feet, and the sound is like hidden thunder"; Zhao Mengfu, a calligrapher in the Yuan Dynasty, praised in his poem Baotu Spring: "There is no long water source in the world, and white jade pots gush out from the ground"; Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty visited Baotu Spring during his southern tour. As soon as he was excited, he wrote down the word "surging" and named it "the first spring in the world" At present, there is a Song Dynasty building "Luoyuan Hall" (now rebuilt in Qing Dynasty) in the north of Quan Quan. On the pillars on both sides of the hall, there are couplets of "Clouds and water are steaming and waves shake Daming Lake". There is an Amin dynasty building "Guanlan Pavilion" in the southwest. The stone tablet standing in the water in front of the pavilion reads "Baotu Spring", which was written by Hu Yongzong, a calligrapher in the Ming Dynasty. To the east of Dong Chi is the "Laihe Bridge". At the southern end of the bridge stands an antique wooden archway with the words "Blessed Heaven" and "Pengshan Former Site" written on its forehead.

Nowadays Baotu Spring is attracting more and more world attention, and it has become the reputation of "Jinan can't travel without Baotu Spring".
