1960, the first national key technical school in Suzhou, 1998 was approved as a national key technical school by the State Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, 1999 was upgraded to a senior technical school, and in 20001year, the brand of Suzhou Technician College was approved by the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security. In 2008, the provincial government confirmed it as a technician college again, and in 2009, it was approved by the municipal office as Suzhou Technician College. At the same time, it hangs the brand of Suzhou public training base, shares resources with the public training base and operates integrally.
The new campus of the college was fully completed in September 2009. The new campus is located in the north area of the International Education Park, which is located in stone lake, the upper side of the mountain. Surrounded by mountains and waters, it covers an area of 255 mu, with a building area of 1.35 million square meters. The college has four professional teaching departments, 1 basic teaching department, and nine administrative offices, with more than 300 teaching and administrative staff and students 1 person, of which 708 1 person is enrolled in this department, and 42% are enrolled in junior and senior high schools in this department. The college implements multi-educational system and multi-standard training mode, including three years, four years, five years (including 3+2 years) and seven years. , training intermediate, advanced, technicians and other multi-level skilled talents. Guided by serving the development of regional economy, and taking the cultivation of modern high-skilled talents as the main task, the college has four public training centers, namely, modern manufacturing, creative service technology, information technology and comprehensive technology, with a total construction area of 43,783 square meters. The center has advanced facilities and equipment, four new technologies and vocational training synchronized with modern enterprises, such as DMG five-axis linkage machining center, DMG CNC machine tool, Xia Mier WEDM machine tool, Mitsubishi EDM machine tool, Mu Ye high-speed CNC milling machine, Siemens industrial automation control series and other modern high-tech equipment, which can complete the training and appraisal tasks of technicians. Some training platforms have been built to train senior technicians. The college also has 10 training centers and 98 characteristic training and laboratories for CNC, molds, general motors, industrial automation, electrical foundation, animation, computer network, master craftsman inheritance, room service and modern logistics.
There are *** 15 majors in the college, among which, the majors of CNC machining, electronic application technology, computer application technology and hotel service are Suzhou brands, and six majors of electrical automation equipment installation and maintenance, CNC machining, computer network application, electronic technology application, mechatronics and mold manufacturing are provincial key majors. Adhering to the school motto of "having both ability and political integrity, being good at learning and being diligent in practice" and the educational purpose of "having a broad foundation, being versatile in one specialty, being dedicated first and being ability-oriented", the school has continuously deepened the teaching reform, implemented the integrated curriculum reform of "working process-oriented" in three pilot majors, actively promoted the credit system of professional competence in four majors, and carried out the course of "professional literacy training" in all majors of the school.
The college has a strong faculty and established a team of regional famous teachers based in Suzhou. At present, "integration of theory and practice" (double-qualified) teachers account for 90.2% of professional teachers, 88% of teachers with bachelor degree or above, 45% of teachers with senior titles and advanced engineering grades, and 4 teachers with full and senior titles at the professor level.
