The general certification process is to find a consulting company, make relevant preparations under the guidance of the company, and then prepare some software projects. Finally, the company will come forward and use the chief appraiser to evaluate whether the project meets the requirements of CMMI. Of course, after passing, they will go to the headquarters in the United States for the record. The training will be conducted by the consulting company.
Training has four main parts: management, organization, software engineering and support.
CMMI3 certificate is a pre-evaluation and formal evaluation conducted by SEI organization through the chief appraiser, and it is considered that the software capability maturity of the enterprise has reached the level 3 required by CMMI. After the 18 process domain (22 process domains in total) is qualified, the chief appraiser will issue the third-level certificate of CMMI3.
This is a recognition of the maturity of enterprise software capability, and can be used as a qualification for enterprises to bid and cooperate with other enterprises in development.
