Dr China created the "Nine Needles" thousands of years ago and developed the "Nine Needles" theory in clinical practice. However, due to the importance attached by later physicians to drug use, especially after the Tang and Song Dynasties, the application of "Nine Needles" was gradually abandoned. In modern China, few people used "nine needles" to treat diseases, and most people only used one kind of filiform needle. The scope and curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine are greatly limited.
The "new nine needles" are nine kinds of needles developed by Dr. Shi on the basis of the ancient nine needles in Neijing and after more than 50 years of clinical practice of acupuncture in traditional Chinese medicine.
Although it originated from the ancient nine needles, it is quite different from the ancient nine needles in appearance, needling method and application scope.
According to the new nine-needle therapy, it is emphasized that in the process of acupuncture treatment, different needles should be selected reasonably according to the different stages of disease development, and the special role of each needle should be brought into play to achieve the overall comprehensive adjustment of treatment. It can be said: "The nine needles are consistent, each has its own way, and the length and size are different."
It has been praised by national leaders many times. 1984, Comrade Hua Guofeng wrote the inscription "Carry forward Chinese medicine and serve people's health"; 1985, Comrade Pei, the former governor of Shanxi Province wrote the inscription "Nine needles shake China", and the former secretary of Shanxi Provincial Party Committee wrote the inscription "The technique of nine needles has been lost for a long time, and it has been studied for more than ten years. The actual experiment should have obvious effects and carry forward endless merits". As early as 1980s, when Shi presided over this work, he made extensive publicity throughout the country. Professor Shi held a 15 training course in Yunnan, and Qiao and Qi Yue taught, taught and exchanged experiences in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, spreading and carrying forward the new nine needles, and trained many clinicians who can inherit this technology.
