Who founded Taoism?
Taoism is one of the major religions in China. The Yijing was established for Fuxi, Duke Zhou and Confucius, Fuxi created the Eight Diagrams, Zhou Wenwang created the sixty-four hexagrams and Confucius wrote the Yijing, thus forming the general source of China culture and the beginning of a hundred schools of thought contending. During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, religious forms gradually became complete. Lao Dan is regarded as an ancestor, and he is addressed as "grandfather". Tao Te Ching, Zheng Jing Ching and Taiping Cave Ching are the main classics. Worship Sanqing as the highest god. Important people are divorced from reality and become immortals.

The first national Taoist temple is located in the Shangqing Palace in Luoyang.
