The regular examination for doctors is held every two years, which is divided into the examination for practicing doctors and the examination for practicing assistant doctors. The assessment categories are clinical, traditional Chinese medicine (including traditional Chinese medicine, ethnic medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine), oral and public health. The regular assessment of doctors takes two years as a cycle.

The state implements a doctor's behavior record system, which is divided into good behavior records and bad behavior records. Good behavior records should include the awards and commendations obtained by doctors in the course of practice, the completion of government mandatory tasks, and the technological achievements obtained. Bad behavior records shall include administrative punishment, punishment, medical accident and other contents due to violation of medical and health management regulations and diagnosis and treatment norms.
