What is tortoise analysis?
In order to ensure the effective operation and control of the process, the organization should determine the required criteria and methods.

The tool used to analyze the process is a graphic representation of six key issues (input, output, resource use, person in charge, activity foundation, and indicators for evaluating activities) in the recognized process through body language. These six key problems are represented by the turtle's head, tail, four feet and abdomen respectively.

Turtle figure ten steps:

Determine the process and the person in charge of the process (responsible department); Identify basic inputs (customer requirements); Determine the basic output (demand satisfaction); Identify sub-processes and convert input into output; Improve input according to sub-process; Improve the output according to the sub-process; Determine the equipment and facilities required for each step according to the sub-process; Determine who needs to perform each step according to the sub-process; Identification method of standardized process control; Determine process performance indicators and evaluate effectiveness and efficiency.

Turtle diagram analysis steps

1. The internal auditor is required to train the employees of this department on the six key issues of tortoise diagram, so that they can understand the connotation of tortoise diagram.

2 leaders at all levels should be able to draw and be familiar with the contents of each part of the turtle map.

3. Require all departments to first clarify whether there are documents (program documents, relevant laws and regulations or technical specifications, guidance documents) in the existing process.

4. Each department shall define the interface relationship to ensure that the process is monitored/evaluated.

5. Establish the input and output of the interface, and know what the input is, who will provide it to you, what the output is, and to whom.
