Shaolin Tagou Martial Arts School is located at the entrance of Shaolin Scenic Area 500 meters east of Songshan Shaolin Temple in Dengfeng City, Henan Province. Liu Baoshan, an old boxer in Tagou Village on the east side of Shaolin Temple, founded a private martial arts school on 1979. The campus covers an area of 550,000 square meters, with a building area of more than 280,000 square meters, a training ground of 270,000 square meters, 19 large-scale training rooms, more than 400 cultural classrooms, and first-class multimedia classrooms, language laboratories, physiological laboratories, microcomputer rooms, libraries, etc. There are more than 30,000 teachers and students. At the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, student Zhang Shuaike won the 56kg Sanda championship, which won honor for the motherland and people. Tagou Martial Arts School won 464 medals1in international and domestic important martial arts competitions, including 222 gold medals1,ranking first in domestic martial arts schools in both medals and gold medals.
