It is the first foreign language college established after the founding of New China, one of the birthplaces of foreign language education in New China, and one of the first national key universities to enter the national "2 1 1 project" and "double-class" world-class discipline construction. Shanghai International Studies University is also one of the best language universities in China. Second only to Beiwai in language schools (personal opinion). Similarly, judging from the enrollment scores of Jiangsu province, the investment lines over the years are basically above 380 points, which is enough to see the excellent degree of the school.

In addition, in addition to these two language colleges, many comprehensive universities also offer Spanish majors.
