Differences among Network Education, Adult Education and Self-taught Examination

First, the form of admission

1. Adult colleges and universities: Students must take the national unified examination held in June 5438+ 10 every year, and the school will select the best candidates according to the admission scores specified by provinces and cities. Candidates who meet the relevant conditions can get extra care. There are three levels, namely junior college, junior college and junior college.

2. Self-study exam: there is no joint exam. Candidates take a single exam and pass a subject, and a certificate of conformity is issued. After passing all subjects, academic certificates will be issued. There are generally two exams every year, and candidates choose the exam subjects according to their own conditions. There are three forms: junior college, undergraduate course and independent undergraduate course.

3. Online education: enroll students twice a year. Those who meet certain conditions are admitted without trial. Those who do not meet the exemption conditions will take the entrance examination independently proposed and organized by the school. The syllabus and simulation questions of the joint entrance examination are published online, and the school delimits the admission scores according to the examination results of that year. There are three levels: junior college, junior college and junior college.

Second, learning style.

1. Adult colleges and universities: There are three forms of study: full-time, part-time (including part-time and evening university) or correspondence, and each school has different forms. Full-time learning is full-time learning, which belongs to traditional campus education. Amateurs usually have a certain number of face-to-face tutoring classes on weekends or evenings. Correspondence generally does not have face-to-face tutoring. Students mainly use paper and audio-visual materials for learning, and the curriculum of each school is not the same.

2. Self-study: mainly based on students' independent learning. However, at present, there are many educational and training institutions and private colleges and universities that conduct full-time or part-time self-study training. Students can comprehensively consider factors such as teachers, teaching environment and school qualifications, and choose a school that can effectively help them pass the exam.

3. Online education: all are part-time learning (the state prohibits online education colleges from enrolling full-time students), and systematic learning is conducted under the learning system of "online+face-to-face". Details are as follows:

1) Use traditional learning resources such as books, tapes and CDs, as well as characteristic learning resources that are open 24 hours a day in the learning platform, including course learning courseware, teacher tutoring courseware (video) and auxiliary learning materials.

2) The learning platform includes weekly lectures by famous teachers, course learning guidance, pre-test guidance, introduction of learning methods, exchange of learning experience and so on.

3) In order to ensure the learning effect and promote students' study at ordinary times, students are required to submit homework and conduct unit self-test regularly, and the scores are included in the overall evaluation of the course, which generally accounts for 20% of the overall evaluation of the course.

4) Students can voluntarily choose and regularly attend face-to-face tutoring classes in the learning center, and conduct language practice and learning exchanges with tutors and classmates. Face-to-face attendance does not account for the total course evaluation score.

5) If students encounter any problems in their study, they can communicate directly with teachers through forums, emails and telephone calls.

6) Students can voluntarily form different study groups in the study center or nationwide to help and encourage each other and study together. You can also join other study groups.

Third, the curriculum.

1, Adult Colleges: Each school has different settings, including specialized courses and public courses. Please refer to the teaching plan of each school for details of the course.

2. Self-taught examination: including specialized courses and public courses. For course details, please refer to the list of self-taught English major courses published by various provinces and cities.

3. Online education: The curriculum fully considers the characteristics of amateur learning. For details of the curriculum, please refer to the teaching plans at all levels published on the admissions homepage of the school website.

Fourth, study time.

1, adult colleges and universities: the minimum study period for full-time employment is: 2 years for junior college, 4 years for junior college and 2 years for junior college; The minimum study period of amateur and correspondence courses is 2.5 years from junior high school, 5 years from junior high school and 2.5 years from junior high school.

2. Self-study exam: Generally speaking, there is no limit to the length of study, and you can graduate by passing all the course exams, but the shortest time to obtain the graduation certificate shall not be less than the shortest period stipulated by the Ministry of Education (2 years for junior college students and 4 years for undergraduate students). Some training schools indicate two years or two and a half years in the enrollment brochure, which is actually the learning period or the ideal certificate-obtaining period for students to participate in training at school. Whether a student can get a diploma depends on whether the student can pass all the exams during this period.

3. Online education: the standard academic system of high school is 3 years, and the study period is 2-5 years; Starting from this standard, the academic system is 5 years and the study period is 4-8 years. The standard length of college entrance examination is 3 years, and the study period is 2-5 years. The study time is more flexible.
