Tanggu Jida Xinxin Education and Training Center, formerly known as Tanggu Branch of Tianjin Jida Vocational and Technical Training College, was established in 1999. It is one of 80 private colleges and universities approved by Tianjin Education Commission and the earliest private education institution in Tianjin. In August 2007, with the strong support of the higher authorities in Tanggu District, Tanggu Branch of Tianjin Jida Vocational and Technical Training College was officially renamed as Tanggu Jida Xinxin Education and Training Center (Jiao Min120107700091). It is not affiliated with Tianjin Jida College, but belongs to two institutions.
