There are two general certification bodies, one is national department certification, and the other is industry certification.
L national department certification
At present, there is no authoritative organization for the certification of data analysis by national departments. Big data is an emerging technology. Generally, cutting-edge technologies will be practiced in enterprises first, and the understanding of relevant departments will lag behind. Therefore, the professional skills and knowledge system about big data and data analysis are mainly popular in high-tech enterprises. Before this industry is mature, the state department cannot issue professional, recognized and authoritative certificates. At present, the certification bodies are Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. The certificates issued by these departments are more proof of skills, because among the thousands of certifications they manage, they can't be professional at all. These certificates may have a certain reference function in state-owned enterprises and institutions, but they do not have the function of evaluating professional titles, and no one is in charge of the big data industry.
L industry nature certification
1.SAS certification
SAS global professional certification is an internationally recognized authoritative certification in the field of data mining and business intelligence issued by SAS company. With the development of DT environment and application in China, there will be great industry development space in the above two fields. Obtaining the global professional certification of SAS will enable you to accumulate rich experience and lay a good foundation in the field of data mining and data analysis. But the problem facing SAS is that more and more competitive open source software enters the market, such as R language, PYTHON, Spark and so on. Due to the high cost of SAS, the utilization rate of self-owned software decreased and the market share was low. In China, SAS is widely used by large banks, while the use of other units is decreasing year by year. So for most data analysts, if you are inclined to find a job in a large state-owned bank, you can consider it; If you want to go to North America for development, you can also consider it. But if there is no such opportunity, it is better to take another certification. By the way, Oracle Bone Inscriptions's certification is similar, but Oracle Bone Inscriptions's certification is not as good as SAS.
2.Coursera
Coursera is a free large-scale open online course project, which was founded by two professors of computer science at Stanford University. It aims to cooperate with top universities in the world to provide free online open courses. Coursera's first batch of cooperative institutions include Stanford University, University of Michigan, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania and other famous American universities.
Coursera certificate is the certificate of completion of each course, which means that you have taken this course and have relevant skills. It is recognized by some schools in the United States, which may have some effect on applying for studying abroad, but it is also more of a skill reference in China. By the way, edx is similar.
3.CDA data analyst certification
CDA certification is a professional certificate of data analyst initiated by CDA Institute and undertaken by China Economic Management House. It is a set of professional, scientific, international and systematic talent evaluation standards, which are divided into level 1, level 2 and level 3, involving the skills required by big data and data analysis practitioners in financial, e-commerce, medical, Internet, telecommunications and other industries, in line with today's global big data and data analysis technology trends. The offline data analyst exam was held nationwide in June and the end of February, and those who passed the exam can obtain CDA data analyst certification. At present, CDA certification has been included in the internal staff assessment by Deloitte, Suning, China Telecom, Chongqing Statistics Bureau and other enterprises. Employees from Baidu, Ali, JD.COM, Hewlett-Packard, Bank of China, IBM, Lenovo, China Mobile, Huawei, Nielsen BMW, Mercedes-Benz and other enterprises and government departments have all obtained CDA certification and obtained good salaries and positions. Because CDA data analysts focus on data analysis and big data, they invest a lot of money and manpower in research and development every year. CDA certification is the certificate with the highest recognition and gold content in China at present.
4.BDA certification
BDA is a training and examination program for data analysts set up by China Business Statistics Society to improve the professional quality of data analysts. It is divided into three levels: junior, middle and senior. The certification was issued only in the past two years, and it is a new certificate, and it is not well-known at present. The construction of related publicity websites is not perfect and the knowledge system is not strong enough. It is not recommended that you take the exam.
The certification of other institutions is mostly the training certificate of our own company, which has no reference value.
