First, strengthen thinking, advanced teaching concepts
As a police instructor, it is a great responsibility, because students master police skills not only to subdue criminals, but also to protect their own safety. There is a popular saying among instructors that "the instructor of police actual combat skills is a participant in every police life project", which deeply touched me. Looking back, there are too many bloody lessons before us, all of which were injured because of improper handling by our police. Whenever we see the scene of the sacrifice of our comrades-in-arms, our instructors will feel excitedly, "If our police did that, it could have been avoided." If you want to do a good job in teaching and training, you must first have excellent quality, otherwise you will be unable to move in training. Instructors themselves must study hard and become experts, and have the ability to complete teaching tasks, develop new courses, explain essentials, complete demonstration actions, answer questions and summarize and improve. This is the basic requirement for instructors. As a qualified instructor, you should also study while working. Your knowledge needs to be constantly updated, and you should make good teaching methods and plans according to the specific conditions of the students. Only by constantly improving their own level and ability can they adapt to the new requirements of training and development. Traditional teaching generally pays more attention to the study of legal theory, ignoring the application teaching of police skills in actual law enforcement. At present, no matter what courses are used for training, training courses are regarded as theoretical courses, which are mechanically copied and complicate simple problems. This is a common problem in China. As an excellent instructor, we should set out from actual combat and attach great importance to the applied teaching of police skills. In the teaching process, the teacher does not stick to the syllabus, but takes vivid cases as the guidance, entertaining and patiently explains every action point, and takes pains to correct and demonstrate the points that students have not fully mastered until they reach the assessment standard. Under such teaching conditions, students can better master the essentials of action and achieve improvisation and skillful use in actual combat. Through training, students have a new understanding of police practical skills, broaden their horizons, and at the same time realize their own shortcomings.
