Introduction of Baotou Vocational and Technical College: Baotou Vocational and Technical College is a full-time higher vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education, located in Baotou, the largest industrial city in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and a national civilized city. Its predecessor was Baotou Machinery Industry School, which was founded in 1956 as a national key general secondary specialized school. The college was originally affiliated to China Ordnance Industry Corporation, and 1998 was approved by the Ministry of Education to establish Baotou Vocational and Technical College. In 2004, it was identified by the Ministry of Education and other six ministries as one of the training institutions to undertake the training of national skilled talents in short supply; In 2008, it was identified as one of the first batch of vocational education training bases for national defense science, technology and industry by the former Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.
