Xinzheng is a newly developed musical instrument based on the complete inheritance of Guzheng, aiming at the defects of Guzheng and considering meeting the needs of modern music. Since Mr. Wang Tianyi, the "father of the art of the new Zheng", creatively put forward a scientific and systematic theory of the performance and teaching of the new Zheng, compiled "Etudes from Shallow to Deep" and a large number of outstanding works of the new Zheng, the new Zheng has been widely welcomed by the society. Many guzheng players and a large number of guzheng lovers have begun to learn the new Zheng, and its popularity is becoming wider and wider. Xinzheng has obtained many national patents and passed the national appraisal. At the authoritative expert appraisal meeting held in Beijing, the experts fully affirmed the new Zheng and greatly appreciated its functions.
At the beginning of 200 1, our oriental women's guzheng xinzheng orchestra recorded the national xinzheng art TV lecture and published supporting CDs and tutorials. The system theory and demonstration track used in this lecture were completely created by Mr. Wang Tianyi. The lecture was repeatedly broadcast by national television and many local television stations, which made Xinzheng have a great influence throughout the country. After the lecture was broadcast, countless experts and music lovers wrote letters and made phone calls to the TV station, all of which were affirmation and praise for Xinzheng. Many experts and scholars also wrote articles, which gave high evaluation to Xinzheng Art Lecture.
In August, 2002, the Oriental Women's Guzheng Xinzheng Orchestra held a "Concert of Wang Tianyi Xinzheng Works" in Zhongshan Concert Hall, and held a seminar on Wang Tianyi Xinzheng Works. Peng Peiyun, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), attended the concert and received the performers on the stage. Wu Yanze, Qin Yongcheng, Tie Yuan, Feng Guangyu and many other musicians attended the concert and participated in the work seminar, which gave unanimous praise to Xinzheng and its works.
