Sino-German Yi Bei was founded in 2002, formerly known as the Dance Teaching Zone of the Middle School Attached to Beijing Sports Institute. In 2009, with the approval of Fengtai Education Committee, Beijing Education Committee established a private vocational high school named Beijing Culture and Art Vocational School (hereinafter referred to as "Yi Bei"), which has been developing for 20 years.

In 20021year, in response to the Beijing municipal government's policy of relieving non-capital functions, the school moved to Dachang, Langfang City, a few kilometers away from the Beijing city sub-center.
