What are the methods commonly used in training in design for six sigma?
In practice, the most commonly used design methods of Six Sigma Training (DFSS) are DMADV (definition, measurement, analysis, design and verification) and IDOV (identification, design, optimization and verification).

DMADV is often regarded as the next stage of DMAIC. In order to emphasize the uniqueness of DFSS, IDOV is adopted to reflect the basic steps of this process.

Because design for six sigma Training (DFSS) is a long-term and resource-intensive process, it is very expensive. Therefore, DFSS method should be carefully selected, generally only used in some very critical projects, especially new product development. Without customers, sales participation, senior management commitment and Six Sigma training team, DFSS project is not applicable.
