Generally divided into softwood cutting and old branch cutting.

Softwood cutting: from the end of May to the middle of June. Branches around the roots of ginkgo trees were taken as cuttings. The length of the cuttings needs to be 2 cm, and 2 -4 leaves are left on them. After the cuttings are adjusted, insert them into the cultivation basin, then put them in a place with good scattered light, and change the water 1 time every three days until the cuttings are healed. After the incision is healed, transplant it into the soil of the seedbed and spray water on the leaves at noon every day when the sun is shining.

Cutting old branches: In March and April, healthy branches of 1 -2 years old were selected from adult ginkgo trees and cut into cuttings of 15 cm -20 cm. The top of the cuttings needs to be round, and the lower cuttings need to be cut into the shape of horse ears. After cutting, every 50 cuttings are bound into 1 bundle. After binding, clean with water. After soaking, the cuttings are inserted into the loose seedbed, covered with soil and watered.
