Band 8 of French major is established by the National Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee of colleges and universities, and it is a major with a relatively high level of French major in colleges and universities in China. The purpose of TEM-8 for French majors is to cultivate students with high language ability and good language skills.

To achieve TEM-8, candidates need to reach a normal level of communication and coherent application in listening, speaking, answering and language application.
