Why don't young people like telling stories now?
In fact, many people are listening to storytelling, but those who don't pay attention to storytelling have stopped listening. Let me tell you my opinion:

First, storytelling still exists. Many radio channels have book reviews, some audio novels are made in the form of book reviews, some people listen to them, and some websites that do book reviews have high traffic. So you can't say that storytelling is gone, just because you didn't pay attention.

Second, there are too many recreational activities to choose from. Now that it is urbanized, it is easy to buy TV and computer. As mentioned above, storytelling exists in a large number of radios, but now many young people living in cities will hardly touch the radio any more, so they naturally don't listen to it.

Third, parents gave early education to the "point reading machine". Since ancient times, children like to listen to their parents telling stories. But now the parents of this generation are used to loneliness when they are young. Because their parents are busy and lazy, they don't have a childhood of listening to stories, so they are not interested in listening to books.

Generally speaking, whether storytelling is liked or not is determined by the times. Not being able to tell stories does not mean that storytellers have no way out, but they still have to mix and live.
