Born in New Jersey, USA, 1943, I have taught English in Japan, worked as a painter and consultant for UNICEF, visited some remote cities in Asia and Africa, and painted for health manuals. The rich experience of traveling around the world has given birth to her love for folk stories all over the world, and Tao Zhu has also realized the diverse characteristics of her painting style, which is slightly mysterious, suspenseful, intense in emotion and different in national flavor! Molly Bian's early works were mainly adapted from local folk customs, and after 1980, she devoted herself to the creation of picture books of original stories.
