About server configuration and hosting
1. It is not recommended to assemble the server yourself. General home motherboards are not recommended. Even if you don't use Xeon CPU, it's not impossible for you to replace ECC memory and ordinary memory with Core 2 CPU. However, the mainboards used in servers are generally dual-thousand-yuan INTEL network cards. Ordinary home motherboards rarely have this device. As for heat dissipation. This is a problem of chassis design. As long as it is a server chassis, the heat dissipation is well designed. Whether you own or buy a compatible server, the difference is not big. The problem is not big.

2. Server hosting. According to my years of experience, hosting in different places is not a big problem, but I want to ask the service provider whether it can provide two services, one is to reinstall the system unlimited times, and the other is to detect the hardware failure of the system for free and help replace the faulty hardware. Choosing a service provider depends more on bandwidth and service. The same is 100M***, and the actual use is quite different.

I have used the server of Aerospace Joint Intelligence, and it looks very reliable. It is better than the general assembled compatible machine. There is also an old brand, less well-known, called Wuzhou, which I think is ok. Many of these servers are Core 2 level, similar to PC configuration, and the price is only about 4000 yuan. Not much more expensive than your own, but more reliable.

4. Home motherboards, if fully integrated, can be mostly installed in the server chassis. But any card, such as graphics card and network card, can't be bad, and even adapters are hard to get. In view of the first reason, it is still not recommended that you configure the server yourself, which is a lot of trouble. If you want to be cheap, I will teach you. You can find old servers like Xeon 2.8 on Taobao. There are one or two thousand servers, and the performance can't catch up with Core 2, but it's not a big problem for you to run your own website.

In addition, as far as I know, many service providers have JSP hosts, which are relatively reliable, such as Business China.
