However, as a language worker, I do know how important the critical period of language is to a person's language development. Therefore, my own future baby should be directly bilingual, but I will definitely not go to the training class, I can teach by myself. What can parents who don't have this condition do to really let their babies learn English well without being fooled by businesses? Here are my suggestions:
First of all, no matter how expensive the training class is, it can't compare with parent-child reading. Going shopping on weekends, I found that many early education classes are now held in prime commercial areas. In fact, the reason is just to facilitate parents' leisure. Parents throw their children to early education institutions and play by themselves. Pick up the children at 8 o'clock, but is this process really effective? I have deep doubts about this. Early education is at most twice a week, which is far from enough for the cultivation of habits. What's more, even the best teacher can't replace mom and dad. Instead of spending this money and time to take children to institutional training, it is better to study with them at home. It not only enjoys high-quality parent-child time, but also allows children to establish long-term reading habits.
Secondly, let go of your excuse of poor English and set an example for your children. You may have been in the fourth grade, but at least you can recognize the words in children's picture books. And even if you don't know each other, you can study with your children. If you can make a baby who can't speak his mother tongue well learn to read picture books, what qualifications do you have as an adult to say that you can't learn well?
In addition, consult more experienced parents or study together. It's always lonely to take your baby to school alone. It is better to read picture books with friends or neighbors and children. You can also learn from each other's strengths, be responsible for teaching English well, and serve tea and water with poor English. Come to this English learning party several times a week, isn't it equivalent to a small early education center at home?
Finally, remember not to force children. Because English enlightenment focuses on interest cultivation, not knowledge transmission. As long as children fall in love with learning a language, it is natural to learn it well in the future. Therefore, it is urgent to raise children. Take your time, it will be faster.
