Jiangxi Normal University is a public full-time college approved by Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. The school takes the training of backbone teachers and technical and skilled talents in primary schools and kindergartens as its basic orientation, serves the development of regional basic education, vocational education and characteristic industries, and trains suitable counterparts. It is one of the teacher training bases in Jiangxi Province and a "quality school" for the innovative development of vocational education in Jiangxi Province.
The school now has 12 teaching units, such as School of Literature and Journalism, School of Preschool Education, School of Foreign Languages, School of Mathematics, School of Economics and Management, School of Nursing Optometry, School of Internet of Things, School of Art, School of Physical Education, School of Aviation Tourism, Department of Teacher Education and Department of Ideological and Political Theory, and offers 10 teacher education and 24 vocational education majors. Preschool education major is recognized as "national backbone major", and computer application technology, mechatronics and English education are recognized as "provincial backbone majors". Five provincial-level excellent online courses and 1 provincial-level "course ideological and political" demonstration courses have been built. The teaching resource database of primary education specialty was recognized as the second batch of national vocational education specialty teaching resource database, and the modern apprenticeship pilot of computer application technology specialty was recognized as "provincial modern apprenticeship pilot".
The school has 1 1 teaching and training center and more than 200 experimental training rooms. There are teaching practice bases such as affiliated primary schools, affiliated kindergartens and early education centers. The school is a demonstration and incubation base for college students' innovation and entrepreneurship in Jiangxi Province, and a demonstration base for standardized construction of Putonghua testing in Jiangxi Province. "Industrial Robot Professional Ability Examination Station" is the first and only dual professional qualification examination station in the province.
