Gymboree is a professional parenting service enterprise focusing on quality education for young children and family parenting empowerment. 1976 in San Francisco, USA, Ms. Joan Burns, the mother of two children, was keenly aware of the importance of early childhood education under the influence of humanistic education. Burns organized a series of experience sharing, mutual encouragement and support among novice parents in the community church, and the neighborhood was happy to take the children to the church to play together. This is the prototype of Gymboree's first early education center.

Gymboree's English name is a word invented by Ms. Burns. Her inspiration comes from "Jamboree" and "Gym". "Jamboree" is the name of a carnival in the southern United States, representing endless joy; "Gym" not only has the meaning of exercise, but also is the abbreviation of growing young minds, helping children grow up physically and mentally. Gymboree is a happy growth garden exclusive to parents and children.

Gymboree's concept has been recognized by more and more parenting families in practice, and it has also given the founder Joan Burns a sense of mission, so that "every child grows up happily and every family is full of confidence in parenting". Based on the theoretical basis and practical guidance of "playing with middle school", Joan Burns established the famous "Gymboree Model", that is, from the age of 0, interactive parent-child courses, learning through games and establishing social circle of friends. After nearly half a century's development, Gymboree has opened children's diversified growth centers in more than 30 countries and regions around the world to guide children of different nationalities, colors and cultural backgrounds to grow up happily and provide continuous empowerment and support for parenting families.
