There are two theories about the extinction of dinosaurs:
The first is that an extraterrestrial meteorite hit the earth, which led to the extinction of dinosaurs. The diameter of this meteorite is about10km, and the diameter of chicxulub crater formed by its impact is180km (some craters are reserved in the Gulf of Mexico).
The second is the theory of volcanic eruption. Because traces of a massive volcanic eruption 66 million years ago were found in India. According to this, some scientists believe that a large-scale volcanic eruption triggered the earth's climate change, and dinosaurs could not adapt to the new environment and went extinct.
