First, what is spelling?
Norma: Hello, Mr. Shirley. Please tell us what pronunciation is.
Shirley: Phonics, also known as Pinyin, is not only the most respected teaching method for children in English-speaking countries in the world to learn English pronunciation and spelling and improve their reading and understanding abilities, but also the teaching method for English beginners to learn English pronunciation rules and spelling skills as a second language.
Norma: When is the best time for children to start their English enlightenment? What kind of English foundation do you need for systematic learning and natural spelling?
Shirley: Of course, the earlier you learn a language, the easier it will be. 1 year-old can start enlightenment.
You must be familiar with it. English has 26 letters. The same letter or letter combination can have different pronunciations, and different letters and letter combinations can have the same pronunciations. Before learning natural spelling, children can know 26 letters and know the pronunciation (letter name) and pronunciation (letter pronunciation) of each letter.
Of course, parents prepare for their children. For example, if you can listen to many original nursery rhymes and watch cartoons to "see different voices", or contact foreign teachers every day in children's bilingual and international schools to make a lot of "input" and have a good sense of pronunciation and phoneme, children will also strongly hope to "output". Norma: What is the specific learning process of natural spelling? How to carry out teaching with rich teaching experience?
Shirley: By directly learning the pronunciation rules of 26 letters and letter combinations in words, children can have an intuitive understanding of the sound sense between letters and pronunciation.
26 letters and five vowels (A, E, I, O, U). I use 26 letters to call "Mom". In addition to the sounds of letters (so-called short A, E, I, O, U) (such as cat's A), you can also pronounce your own letter Name (so-called long A, E, I, O, U, such as the name's A, the pronunciation of the letter itself).
Add these five letter names and 2 1 consonants to the letter sounds (I call them "little guys"). According to the pronunciation of voiced consonants, the "mother"-the position next to vowels, is named after Brother B, Sister S, Brother G, Sister W, Transformers Y and so on. ), like building blocks, can be mixed, constructed and replaced in many ways. Norma: What's the difference between natural spelling and school education? If you are already in primary school, don't you have to worry about conflicts?
Shirley: The International Phonetic Alphabet is a traditional phonetic symbol. Natural spelling is a phonetic system suitable for children to learn English pronunciation according to their learning characteristics. This is summarized according to the natural law of language pronunciation, and the core is to establish the corresponding relationship between letters and sounds. Notes are "pronunciation symbols" formulated by linguists according to different English pronunciations.

Norma: How should children in China learn English? What's the use of natural spelling?
Shirley: In the early stage of learning English, children in China can establish the foundation of pronunciation and language sense through Guanyin (changing ears). Then systematically learn natural spelling to help children lay a good foundation for reading. After mastering the rules of natural spelling, we can do a lot of reading through pronunciation, expand our vocabulary, improve the fluency of reading, and finally improve our reading comprehension. This can get twice the result with half the effort in English learning.
Norma: At present, many English education institutions in China have set up natural spelling courses. After learning these rules and regulations, parents will want to know what aspects their children should improve their English.
Shirley: If they have to study again, the children in primary school 1-3 will advise them to continue their grammar lessons and practice reading long sentences.
Natural spelling solves the frame problem of "input" to "output" and eliminates the reading bottleneck. After hearing that there is no problem, translate it into Chinese and English. With the help of pronunciation, we can enlarge our vocabulary in a lot of reading. Change words from memoryless to conventional memory, and finally increase long-term memory.
In fact, English teachers in primary and secondary schools ask to recite texts in order to strengthen grammar and sentence patterns. Even if you don't take grammar classes and learn natural spelling, you can fully master grammar through the current school English education.
Norma: I see. Just like learning Chinese, it is the best way to integrate Chinese characters into reading. Then, please recommend picture books and grading books.
Shirley: OK. The original painting that can interest children is a good painting. Spelling books and stories with pictures can get twice the result with half the effort
Fourth, misunderstandings and suggestions in English learning
Norma: What are the main misunderstandings between parents and children in learning English in China?
Shirley: English learning includes four steps: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Why are there dumb English and deaf-mute English? There is something wrong with "listening" and "speaking". If you don't listen enough, it goes without saying that primary schools can start reading and writing directly. However, these words are unfamiliar to children. Children who haven't studied phonetics must have difficulty reading. Writing is for memory.
There is also a kind of parents who know that learning English requires many deaf voices, so it is best to provide them with authentic children's songs and cartoons and send them to bilingual schools, but many of them are just a form. They didn't listen until they heard it, and there was no result. When children are no longer willing to communicate and output, they need to systematically learn the method of natural spelling and turn listening and speaking into reading and writing skills.
Phonetics is actually a process from language to text. Letting children learn spelling naturally can greatly shorten the time of memorizing words, and English learning is no longer a painful and interesting thing.
Norma: If parents want to give their children a class registration system to learn natural spelling, what do you suggest?
Shirley: When parents take their children to the audition class, they must judge the teacher's teaching.
1, the classroom atmosphere is good. Whether it is enthusiasm, body language or dressing, it should be very attractive to children.
This teaching method is very interesting, and children can blend in. You can see the effect that children like English in the first class.
If you can't do these two things, I suggest you try another one. If the child is not interested, it will be the same in class in the future. There is no change, and there is no strong will to learn it well.
