Improvement stage: 10- 12 years old

1. Professional English and Academic English. At this stage, children's reading quantity, reading speed and reading comprehension ability have all improved. Expand the depth and breadth of reading and get in touch with all aspects of English resources, including social science, popular science and literature. Gradually transfer English learning from simple language learning to using English as a tool.

Besides reading a lot, you should continue to listen. Listen to more complex novels, popular science programs, speeches, historical geography, social knowledge, and watch movies with certain connotations.

3. Goal: Be able to do reading comprehension questions; Be able to speak in public, make a statement on a topic and write paragraphs; Describe the exercises; Write a story, write an argument.

All-round development: 7-9 years old

1. From the age of 7, children enter classes, systematically learn a set of teaching materials, gradually learn English grammar knowledge, cultivate reading and writing ability, improve children's reading difficulty and reading volume, widely contact with all aspects of English, and read a large number of graded books and primary chapters.

2. Insist on listening to the input, the content is mainly children's literature, listening is more difficult than reading, understanding all English teaching, understanding children's cartoons, children's movies and simple popular science films without subtitles.

3. Objective: To have a general conversation with English speakers, make a brief statement on some topics and read graded books; Read bridge books; Read the primary chapter books; Read the intermediate chapter.

Literacy stage: 6 years old, but can spell.

1. I can understand most words and simple English stories used in life. I suggest that the listening vocabulary should reach 3000 words. I can sign up for a natural spelling class and formally learn ABC letters and phonics English spelling rules.

2. Strengthen the training of listening and speaking ability, watch the original cartoons, start listening to audio books naked, and ensure the amount of listening input. In the last year, continue to practice oral English for foreign teachers, and the listening vocabulary is suggested to accumulate to 3000.

3. Goal: I can have a long conversation with foreign teachers and retell stories basically through daily language.

Enlightenment stage: I heard it for the first time at the age of 3-5.

1. Create a good environment for listening to English, and start from all aspects of life to establish the relationship between English language and physical image. Goal:

Can understand the basic simple life words and instructions, and constantly expand the listening vocabulary.

2. Watch original English cartoons and flash stories, listen to songs, read graded children's books, follow children's preferences, put interest first and invest a lot.

3. Not advocating endorsement and not "learning" the language in an adult way will kill children's interest in learning.

After the children have accumulated a listening vocabulary of 1000 at home, parents can consider enrolling their children in a "spoken English for foreign teachers" class when they are five years old.
