Tell your children that you are proud of them and that a positive understanding of self-worth is the core of a healthy and creative life. For example: high self-esteem, hope for the future, a sense of control over life events, and a sense of purpose to establish a positive sense of identity. Strengthen your children regularly to lay the foundation for a strong sense of self-worth. When you see a child doing well, you should pay attention and praise. Encourage them to spend their time on things that they feel capable and valuable.
Establish a good attitude towards study and work and set an example by yourself. Good work performance. Share workplace stories. Talk about the skills and knowledge you use in your work every day. Every time you talk about your salary, the highs and lows of your working day, and the clothes you choose for work, you are sending work information to your children. It better be positive. Whether you realize it or not, you are conveying important work values. These values will last a lifetime.
Encourage your children to carry out the most important career-related learning activities at school and in the community. The school hopes to link school with life and let us really understand the importance of their study. In Oregon, students must complete various career-related learning activities to get a diploma. Activities may include interest survey, career research, education planning, work shadow, service learning, work experience and real-life related issues in classroom projects. Understand and support these ongoing efforts. Talk to children about these activities and help them do things that are not on the list.
