Living habits
This small animal looks like a spider, with a head like a sand monk and a body the same color as sand. It has a small head and a pair of big chins, and usually walks backwards (this is the origin of "old fall"). It will drill down while rotating in the sand, make a funnel-shaped trap in the sand, hide it under the sand at the bottom of the funnel, and throw the sand out with its jaw to make the periphery of the funnel smooth and steep. When an ant or bug climbs into a trap and slides down due to loose sand, the ant lion will keep bouncing and throw sand outward, so that the victim will be pushed to the center by quicksand, and then the ant lion will hold its prey with its jaw and drag it into the sand to eat.
The ant lion is an insect. It will make a trap, waiting for passing insects to fall in. After sucking the juice, it will throw its body out again and again. The ant lion is the larva of a slug. It looks like a dragonfly and has a pair of long tentacles. Many people often mistake it for a longhorn dragonfly. It is said that villagers are natural enemies of black mosquitoes.
