Zhongzhou Village is located on the bank of Feiyun River, at the east gate of Yunzhou Prefecture. The village area is 1.8 km2, the cultivated land area is 1.3 mu, the total population of the village is 1.830, the floating population is about 1.000, there are 57 people in party member and 45 villagers' representatives. The per capita income of villagers is nearly 1 10,000 yuan, and the annual income of village collective economy is 600,000 yuan. In recent years, relying on local resources, our village has formed a characteristic industry, which has made the rural labor force fully employed and greatly improved the living standards of farmers. There are tourist attractions such as Yuhailou, Caocun and Qingyun Valley near Zhongzhou Village, the former site of the establishment of the headquarters of the South Zhejiang Special Committee and the headquarters of the South Zhejiang Guerrilla Column, the Meishan Guerrilla Base and the former site of the eighth enlarged meeting of the South Zhejiang Special Committee. There are also some specialties, such as Ruian White Cat Tea, Ruian Qingming Jujube, Wenyujin, Ruian Horseshoe Bamboo Shoots and Li Datong Double Sesame Cake.
