The kindergarten is in the best neighborhood next to it, and the price is almost 20 million. The floor is low, the apartment is large, and the key environment is good, just like a forest and a small river. This may be nothing in the south, but it's really good here in Beijing.
Therefore, the kindergarten inside will naturally make people feel more at ease. Kindergarten itself is a chain. I remember searching at least a dozen maps before, the bilingual kindergarten with Montessori concept.
There are several kindergartens nearby, others haven't been there yet. This house is only a few tens of meters away when it enters a side door of the community. The place that feels good is that entering the community is a quiet, harmonious and green atmosphere, unlike those whose doors are on the side of the road, they will feel noisy. Go straight and turn right, which is the gate of the kindergarten. After opening, you will find a relatively large playground, 100 meters long and 20 meters wide. Slides, seesaws, trolleys, platforms, obstacle passages, ropeways ... all kinds of sports facilities are relatively clean.
The kindergarten is divided into two floors, and the corridor is decorated with all kinds of artistic handicrafts made by teachers and children, all of which are very beautiful. It is said that there are eight mixed-age classes and two large classes, that is, children who are about to enter primary school, with 25 students in each class.
Our experience classroom today is on the second floor. According to the link, one parent should accompany the baby into the classroom to experience the environment first, and the other parent should listen to the director's introduction of Montessori's concept. Because dad didn't come today, I accompanied the baby into the classroom.
I have read several books about the concept of Montessori before, but the specific details are not clear, so I have a general understanding of the overall concept, so today's experience is to combine theory with practice to see what it is like to implement in teaching.
My understanding of Montessori education is to respect children's nature and create a suitable environment for each sensitive period of their growth. Children's play is their study and their work, so they need to be serious and focused. Let them try freely and give appropriate help.
Therefore, there are many special teaching AIDS in the Montessori concept kindergarten. The scenes are the same as those in real life, but everything is small and designed according to the height of the children.
I like the concept of "mixed-age class" very much. Children of different ages can better promote physical and mental development and help primary schools and universities. There are few big families in city life now. Such an environment is important, and the atmosphere of a small family cannot meet the needs of children's growth.
My favorite Montessori thoughts are "Let children work" and "Pay attention to the cultivation of etiquette". Whether it's cleaning an object, sewing, handcrafting, or watering green plants, children need to experience a sense of accomplishment in completing a specific thing, which will plant a seed in their hearts that is eager to complete things and will always benefit from their growth.
There is also the cultivation of children's etiquette. In this experience, the teacher showed us two things.
One is that there is a relatively empty place in the middle of the classroom, on which a thick line in the shape of a playground is drawn. The teacher said that he would take the babies along this line every day and cultivate their habit of walking gently in the classroom.
The other is to show us how babies ask for help. A teacher patted another teacher on the shoulder, smiled and asked softly, "Hello, can I ask you a favor?" Another teacher will smile and nod gently and say, "Yes, what can I do for you?" Or the babies say to the teacher, "teacher, please help!" " "This can cultivate our habit of whispering and being polite in class, and we can ask the teacher for help generously when necessary.
The baby meal has a round dining table. By dinner time, the teacher will put all the food on the table. The baby will go to the table, pick up the plate, choose the food he wants to eat, and then take it to his small table to eat. After eating, they will send the dishes back by themselves. After getting up, they don't need to sit in a chair. Remember to put the tables and chairs in order.
Each class in this kindergarten is an independent suite, including the cloakroom at the door to put the changed coats, schoolbags and shoes. After entering the class, there is a spacious activity hall, small furniture, tables and chairs, display racks, sofa rest areas, natural corners ... all kinds of teaching AIDS are placed in trays, and children can freely choose what to do. The small bed for lunch break is put in the cupboard and taken out when necessary. There are also separate bathrooms, toilets, hand sanitizers, small towels, handkerchiefs and trash cans, all of which are complete.
In terms of teachers, each class has a life teacher, a Chinese teacher and a full-time foreign teacher. Foreign teachers are basically responsible for outdoor activities. Foreign teachers attend classes all day, and babies can communicate freely at any time.
I asked the director what the teacher's qualifications were. At that time, I was thinking about what it was like to graduate from college. The director replied that Montessori kindergarten teachers need special foreign qualification certification, which generally costs about 60,000 yuan in tuition fees. In three years, they will pass the exam and be awarded certificates.
So at this point, I think the two certification systems will cultivate teachers with different styles compared with the normal public parks. As for which is better, there may be no standard to distinguish. I prefer a stricter certification system, but it still depends on which teacher, no matter what system, teacher industry and individual differences are too great.
Going back to my experience with Yiyi, we saw other babies playing with toys or objects they were interested in. Some babies were cleaning the floor and mirrors and saw small hammers, sewing kits, various mini handicrafts and building materials. There is a goldfish in a fish tank in the natural corner, and some ornamental plants, stones, peppers, star anise, garlic, cinnamon and spices are placed on the table.
The teacher said that she would take the babies to fetch water, observe plants, feed small animals and sometimes cultivate some hydroponic plants. I asked the teacher why he didn't keep a rabbit. The teacher said that because of the epidemic, small animals are not kept for the time being, and turtles sometimes do.
We strolled around for a while, and it was time for dinner. Then the teacher took us to experience the circle interactive game class. Teacher China and foreign teachers come to class separately.
The Chinese female teacher took us with her first, then sat around and played the game of ringing the bell gently. Then the foreign teacher took us to recognize colors, did a little magic, and then did a little experiment of color-changing water, which was more interactive than the foreign teacher, and every step would involve babies.
There was also a chubby foreign teacher director that day. When they chat with two male foreign teachers, Yi Yi often appears very interested. It may be because the baby has a good relationship with foreign teachers in the early kindergarten, or Yiyi likes to laugh and tease people. After the activity, I was watching other children, and then I found Yiyi hiding beside me laughing, and then I turned around. I don't know whether she is teasing the teacher or the teacher is teasing her. Both foreign teachers are smiling at her. Later, she ran around me happily. When two foreign teachers teased her, she smiled and asked her to shake hands.
After the morning exercise, I took Yiyi out of the classroom and went to the small playground outside. Yiyi was very happy and ran and jumped back and forth. When we are hungry, we sit in a small chair and eat something. This is a wonderful feeling.
This is the activity record of the kindergarten open day on Saturday. I don't know which kindergarten I will choose for Yiyi in one year. I plan to experience more kindergartens nearby. Only through comparison can we deepen our understanding. I also intend to record the kindergarten I will experience in the future.
Let's call it a day. See you next time.
