According to my observation, there are two kinds of "learning to swim".
One is that you don't care about the stroke first, just like playing.
The other is to learn a stroke directly.
Then there are three questions.
1, learn directly, how old is the child?
Swimming training classes are usually set at 6 years old, because at this age, you are almost qualified in understanding, expression and reaction speed. Moreover, if there are too many people in the swimming training class, there will be discipline problems, and if the children are too young, discipline is not easy to control.
2. How old can I start playing with water?
Take a shower when you are born … you can play. Buy a bigger bathtub, the water temperature is about 32℃ to 36℃, and observe for yourself. Not too long. Soak for 10 minutes and 15 minutes first, and then estimate according to your own observation.
If you can, you can take it to a special baby pool, there will be specially trained coaches, and parents can also play in the water together.
When you grow up, you can take it directly to the swimming pool in summer. Of course, first of all, parents should be able to swim. Because parents can't swim, is it appropriate to take their children to play? Is it reasonable? Natural? Don't think that a shallow pool can't drown people who can stand at the bottom of the pool. I have heard of an incident in which a teenager with a height of 1.7 meters drowned in the shallow water area of 1.3 meters. The boy couldn't swim. He was playing in the swimming pool and accidentally fell backwards, lying on his back. When he was nervous, he only scratched, but he couldn't catch anything but water, and he couldn't stir up any splash ... So the tragedy happened ...
In addition, I personally dislike the neck ring that babies often wear when swimming. Actually, at first, I didn't think about it either. Seeing it directly is emotional disgust. Later, I learned that it was because the baby's cervical spine was too fragile.
Although in water, water has buoyancy to the baby's body, but this buoyancy can not completely offset the weight of the baby's body, at least there is a little weight, is this easy to understand? Fragile cervical vertebra+heavy body+loose neck ring = danger.
