Yearning for the original text on New Year's Eve _ Translation and appreciation
If Mi Nian is not proud, what about Chinese New Year? How many fellow travelers are there now? Take leisure as your own comfort, and you will waste your life. Spring scenery is ruthless and I have seen it in seclusion. -Liu Yuxi's "Yearning for the New Year's Eve" in the Tang Dynasty is not proud of the New Year's Eve. What about the New Year?

How many fellow travelers are there now?

Take leisure as your own comfort, and you will waste your life.

Spring scenery is ruthless and I have seen it in seclusion. Spring Festival, Emotional Translation and Annotation Translation

I am not proud every year. What will happen in the new year? Looking back on the friends we made together, how many are still alive? I regard idleness as freedom and longevity as a time to make up for wasted time. Only spring, regardless of the world, come to visit me when I live in seclusion.

Generally speaking, people often look forward to all good luck and prosperity in the coming year on the night of observing the old age (that is, New Year's Eve). However, this poem is abnormal. The first couplet says, "I am not proud of my New Year. What about the New Year?" "This means that I have spent many years in frustration and disappointment. What about Chinese New Year? The implication is that there will be no new hope.

Zhuan Xu said, "How many fellow travelers are there now?" Travelers here refer to political innovators, such as Liu Zongyuan, Wang, Han Tai, Lu Wen, Li Jingjian, Han Ye, Ling Zhun, Cheng Yi. Some of them were killed, some died of illness, and some were never heard from. Special mention should be made here to Liu Zongyuan, a friend who just died. In the 12th year of Yuanhe, the imperial court sent Liu Zongyuan to Liuzhou, where conditions were better, to make a secretariat, while Liu Yuxi was sent to Bozhou (now Zunyi area), a "bad place" (Yinhua Road) where conditions were extremely poor. Considering that Liu Yuxi's mother was nearly ninety years old and was not suitable for going to a remote place, Liu Zongyuan volunteered to switch sides with Liu. Liu Zongyuan, now 23 years younger than the poet, died in a "bad place", which made the poet doubly sad. Therefore, this "number" is of course a mourning for the early death of all friends, and more importantly, a mourning for Liu Zongyuan, a close friend; It shows the deep affection of "one person dies suddenly, and his eyes are empty".

On the surface, the necklace describes its own frustrations, showing feelings of inaction, but in fact it is words of complaint and angry feelings. The poet studied hard in his early years, did not admire glory, and paid attention to character cultivation; Middle-aged people actively participate in political innovation, strive to innovate politics, and become one of the core figures in Yongzhen's innovation, known as the "two kings Liu Liu"; The innovation failed, and he wandered to the border state. In the extreme predicament, he not only wrote a lot of political satires, but also denounced eunuchs, powerful ministers and snobs as a group of small and hateful mosquitoes (Mosquito Collection Ballads), and also wrote many political essays with considerable weight. In the case of pardon, he still lambasted those who suppressed Yongzhen's innovation as "Tao Liyan". He never stopped fighting. He never "relaxed". This indomitable spirit of putting life and death at risk can never be said to be a "waste of life." Therefore, it can be said that this couplet expresses an extremely painful indignation and accusation, which is just the opposite of the original intention.

The creative background is "eternal innovation". Liu Yuxi was demoted. In the fourteenth year of Yuanhe (8 19), Liu Yuxi's mother died of illness. While escorting her to Hengyang, she received the news of the death of her friend Liu Zongyuan. The poet was very sad when he heard the news and wrote many works in memory of his friends. After that, he mourned in Luoyang for two years, during which he wrote "Yearning Night". Liu Yuxi (772-842), Han nationality, was born in Pengcheng (now Xuzhou) in China in the Tang Dynasty. His ancestral home was Luoyang, a writer and philosopher in the Tang Dynasty. He claimed to be a descendant of the King of Mountain Scenery in Hanzhong. He used to be a supervisor and member of the Wang Reform School. A famous poet in the middle and late Tang Dynasty, he is known as the "great poet". His family is a scholarly family handed down from generation to generation by Confucianism. Advocating political innovation is one of the core figures of the Wang school's political innovation activities. Later, Yongzhen failed in innovation and was demoted to Sima Langzhou (now Changde, Hunan). According to the textual research of Mr. Zhou, a historian and collector in Changde, Hunan Province, Liu Yuxi was demoted to Sima Langzhou, during which he wrote the famous "Han Shou Chun Wang". Liu Yuxi

The roar of firecrackers, the old year has passed; The warm spring breeze ushered in the New Year, and people happily drank the newly brewed Tu Su wine. The rising sun sheds light on doors of each household, New peachwood charm is put up to replace the old. -Song Wang Anshi's "Yuanri" Yuanri
